Voidspace Dispatches: May 2026

Hello lovelies!

This month in the Voidspace we have our Voidnoses to the grindstone as Voidspace Live 2026 approaches: it’s on 6-7 June at Theatre Deli, London. Not very far away at all!

The work that goes into making a festival like this (if there even is another festival like this?) is not to to be underestimated. Thankfully I have the support of the best volunteer production team a Void could wish for…)

It’s all worth it, however, to bring such an exciting thing into the world. Over the course of the weekend we will be showcasing the work of over 50 artists, over 50% of which is being shown for the first time

It really is wonderful to see the Voidspace becoming such a valuable generative space (a petri dish??) for artists to take risks and develop, and for audiences to be guaranteed something completely different.

You can find the full programme here.

We haveall sorts of shows this year. It’s hard to pick highlights because each and every one is so good. It’ll be great to see some familiar faces return (Emily Carding with Timonopoly; Seth Kriebel with The Map & the Echo; not one but TWO new shows from Chloe Mashiter and new work from Uncle Barry to name a few).

We also have SO many artists join us for the first time, including John Robertson of Darkroom fame; our first show from Chronic Insanity (how has it been so long??) and Yannick Trapman-O’Brien (creator of 5 star cult hit Undersigned, ) flying in from the States, all trying out something new.

In addition we have a MASSIVE range of experimental games, interactive installations, pervasive experiences and weird playable art.

Something I’m really proud of is that we are able to introduce a lower cost ticket – the artpass – which gives access to this durational work for only £15. If you can’t afford a regular day ticket, but still want to be a part of things, we are hoping this will give you a good time.

The festival (as with most other Voidspace events) has sold out two years in a row, so we suggest getting a spot while you can…

Tickets here!

Outside of the Void there are some great shows returning to London in May including Ontrored Goed’s Handle With Care and Vinicius Salles’ Shop for Mortals and All Fools. Plus the long awaited inaugural Jubensha Con – the world’s first conference dedicated to this new form.

We hope you have a wonderful May – and hope to see you very soon!.

The Void loves you! 🖤
