Secret Truth:

Key – Fear

Keys arise from the perception of danger─
something lurks beyond the gates,
on the other side of the door.
We keep things in and lock things out
or is it the other way around?

Fears are made of metal─
a pick in the hand of a thief
determined to leave an empty safe.
Are any of us safe?
So many are empty already.

Fears are made of metal─
a knife in the hand of hate,
a gun in the hand of evil.

Metals arise from the perception of danger─
someone lurks beyond the gates,
on the other side of the door.
We keep people in our thoughts
and prayers and lock out the truth
or is it the other way around?

Pianos have fear.
A requiem for the dead
and we are all frozen
with keys in trembling hands,
can’t find the door in the dark.
