Prompt: What did the last spider you kill say?

She said she knew me, saw me in all those moments when I couldn’t even see myself. She didn’t ask me not to, didn’t save herself, knew what was coming. She asked if I recognised her, then peered into the depths of me which live with dust, in corners.


When I killed her, the mirror didn’t break, but I think I did.
